Albright Kendrick.
From concerns to closure.

Our founder’s account of pursuing concerns about Albright Kendrick Law Limited and Stuart Basson, alongside the SRA’s published intervention decision.

Outcome: firm closed by the SRASources checked 7 October 2026

Why this case matters to us

Law Firm Complaints grew out of its founder’s experiences with Albright Kendrick Law Limited and Stuart Basson. The original website recorded those concerns publicly. This case now has a significant regulatory outcome: the firm has been closed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Our part in the story

In his account published on 13 July 2025, our founder, Alex Palmer, described filing complaints with the SRA, reporting issues to the Legal Ombudsman and connecting with other affected clients to exchange information and support.

His follow-up on 4 September 2025 set out his own dealings with the firm, referring to written agreements, emails and letters. It described disputed referral payments, an agreement concerning a property matter, requests for invoices, unanswered correspondence and subject access requests.

These posts provide a contemporaneous account of the work behind the campaign. Alex regards the firm’s subsequent closure as a successful outcome of pursuing those concerns.

The underlying documents are described in the posts but are not reproduced or independently verified in this case study. The complaints and disputes below remain attributed to Alex’s account.

This describes the founder’s account of our contribution. The published SRA notice records the regulator’s decision and grounds; it does not identify our work as the cause of the intervention or establish how much it contributed.

The published regulatory outcome

The SRA decided to intervene on 26 June 2026 and published its decision on 30 June. Its register lists the firm as closed down and prohibited from providing legal services from 30 June 2026.

The stated grounds were suspicion of dishonesty connected with the firm’s business by employee Mr Noel Stuart Basson, and the firm’s failure to comply with its licence terms.

The reference to Mr Basson is a stated basis for intervention involving suspected dishonesty. It should not be presented as a criminal conviction or a finding that every allegation on the original website was proved.
